Justin Bieber to play benefit concert at the Mountain Winery!!

Pop star Justin Bieber will play a show at intimate Mountain Winery in Saratoga on June 11 to help kids get into college.
OK, now take a breath.
Tickets for the concert range from $250 to $1,500 apiece. The money raised will benefit College Track, an after-school program for high school and college students. It serves more than 1,100 students at centers all over the country, including in East Palo Alto, Oakland and San Francisco.
The irony should be noted that Bieber’s just 17, so his college days — if they ever come — are still ahead of him.
ART FOR A CAUSE: Kumiko Iwasawa and the Japan Society of Northern California are hosting a benefit reception Saturday at Iwasawa Oriental Art and Antiques, 75 University Ave., Los Gatos. Ken Matsumoto, who’s got an exhibition of his stone work on display at the gallery, will give a talk during the 2:30 p.m. event.
Several merchants are contributing food and wine, including Michi Japanese Restaurant & Catering, Steamers Grillhouse, Willow Street and Silver Mountain Vineyards.
Tickets are $30 and will be available at the door. Half the proceeds will be donated to the Japan Society’s Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund. Get more details at www.usajapan.org.
COPS HELPING OUT: Two Holder’s Country Inn locations will be packed with San Jose police officers on Sunday, but they’ll be there to serve more than to protect. The visits are part of the department’s “Tip a Cop” campaign to benefit Special Olympics of Northern California.
The servers in blue will be at the Holder’s at 6484 Camden Ave. and 5512 Monterey Road from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tip early and tip often.
TOAST TO TABARD’S 10TH: South Bay performers will be getting together June 13 to salute Tabard Theatre Company’s 10th anniversary and raise some money for its next decade.
The performance at the Tabard’s downtown San Jose home, the Theatre on San Pedro Square, was the idea of South Bay artist Lee Garay Toney. She’s been a friend and colleague of Tabard Executive Director and founder Cathy Spielberger Cassetta for more than 40 years.
The 7:30 p.m. show will feature song, dance, comedy and memories from familiar valley performers including Toney, Tim Reynolds, Diane Milo, Norma Hughes, Jerry and Leslie Lloyd, C. Michael Traw and Dean Scot.
Tickets are $30 each or $50 for a pair. Get them by calling 800-838-3006 or by going to www.brownpapertickets.com/event/170252.
