Justin, Adele and Eminem duke it out for No. 1

“Never Say Never” has already grossed more than $50 million at the box office with way more to come this week with the extended Director’s Cut, which started its one-week engagement Feb. 25. He also has the No. 1 album in the land. And Justin’s not even old enough to vote.

1. Justin Bieber (No. 6 last week): He tops the Billboard 200 with “Never Say Never: The Remixes, “ the first remix album top top the charts since Jennifer Lopez’s “J to tha L-O!: The Remixes” in 2002.

2. Adele (not ranked): Her second album, “21,” not only will be No. 1 next week on the Billboard 200, it will sell up to 300,000, far and away the biggest opening frame of the week.  She’s been promoting the record everywhere–as someone on only their second set should– and the best news is it’s an album well worth touting.

3. Eminem (not ranked): He becomes the latest artist, following Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, to join the Billionaires Club as his YouTube page views surpass 1 billion. He is also the most “liked” living person on Facebook with 28,883,000 likes. And yet still no Grammy Award for album of the year. What’s wrong with this picture?

4. YouTube (not ranked): The site continues to grow in influence as people’s main source for music, as noted during this week’s Digital Music Forum East. As BigChampagne’s CEO Eric Garland said, “People play what they don’t buy and buy what they don’t play.”  General revenue? $1 for 1,000 plays. It’s kind of hard to imagine parsing that up, however, that translates into serious money for Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Eminem, all of whom are past 1 billion views.

5. Barry Weiss (not ranked): The  RCA/Jive CEO leaves his home of 28 years to finally head over to UMG as head of the east coast operations.  All the details are sketchy, but look for him to make his mark under new boss Lucian Grange fairly quickly….and for some of his trusted allies to possibly follow.

6. Chris Medina (not ranked) : No, he didn’t make the final 24 on “American Idol,” but he is this season’s first break-out star. Star producer Rodney Jerkins  wrote a song for Medina, which he premiered on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Friday. We smell a record deal.

7. Steve Stoute (not ranked): The industry vet took out an ad in the New York Times to complain about the Grammys, some of his points valid, others not so much, but he certainly got the industry talking.

8. The Grammys (not ranked): Stoute and industry pundit Bob Lefsetz can (and will) grouse all they want. You know who’s not complaining? The acts like Mumford and Sons, whose sales went from 25,000 the week before the Grammys to 133,000 the week after (despite losing two Grammys) and a number of other acts who saw massive spikes after appearing on the show.

9. U2 (not ranked): Arguably the biggest band in the world (or at least the most profitable when it comes to touring) announces that it will headline Glastonbury this year after having to pull out last year due to Bono’s back injury. Beyonce and Coldplay were previously confirmed as headliners.

10. George Harrison (not ranked): Feb. 25 is his 68th birthday and that deserves observing. That is all.

New ‘Never Say Never’ Clip Shows Justin Singing With Fan

Earlier this week, “Never Say Never” director Jon Chu promised MTV News that his new “Director’s Fan Cut” of Justin Bieber’s 3-D flick would deliver 40 minutes of fresh footage, including different songs (such as “Favorite Girl”), some more shirtless shots of the teen singer (“Maybe some abs!”) and extra scenes of him interacting with fans.

With the recut movie hitting theaters on Friday (February 25), Paramount Pictures has released a clip showing just that: the Biebs hanging out with some of his young fanatical followers. The 71-second promo shows Bieber — pre-haircut, of course — at an intimate gathering in Phoenix. While the pop star gives an acoustic performance on a small stage, his fans beg him to play “Baby,” but he jokes, “I don’t know that song.”

He then declares to a very young fan, “I’ll only sing ‘Baby’ if you come up here and sing it with me.” Cue the cuteness. The girl sits on his lap and together they belt out the hit single.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Bieber show off an easy, breezy way with his youngest fans. Last year, he popped up on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to surprise a 3-year-old Belieber named Cody who’d become an Internet sensation after her sister posted a video of her crying over the teen heartthrob on YouTube. As he tweeted later, “Makin faces with Cody!”

The re-released “Never Say Never” represents an effort both to goose box-office receipts three weeks after the film’s initial opening and to feed the Beliebers’ seemingly insatiable appetite for anything and everything connected to the star.

“We originally had a two-and-a-half-hour version of the movie, which we obviously couldn’t release,” Chu explained to us. “So we started to think about putting stuff back in that didn’t have to do with our story but that we knew people would love.”

Justin Bieber kembali ke masa lalu! Pada Agustus 2007, Justin cuma penyanyi muda dengan wajah imut-imut yang tak terkenal, dengan impian dan satu gitar.

Di dalam gambar baru yang diperoleh secara eksklusif oleh UsMagazine.com, Justin yang dulu tak terkenal saat berusia 13 tahun memetik gitarnya dan menyanyi di tangga beton di Avon Theatre di kota tempat tinggalnya, Standord, Ontario.

Juru foto I. Shuter, yang mengambil gambar itu, mengatakan kepada UsMagazine.com ia melihat "anak yang cakep ini" sedang memetik gitar pukul 09:00 lewat sedikit pada 20 Agustus. Sementara itu, para pejalan kaki melemparkan uang dolar dan recehan ke dalam tempat gitarnya.

Tapi sayangnya, tayangan tanpa rencana Justin tersebut tiba-tiba terganggu. "Manajer gedung pertunjukan itu keluar dan mengusir anak itu!" kata Shuter kepada UsMagazine.com.

Pelantun "Baby, Baby" tersebut telah mendapat 3.000 dolar "ngamen" di depan Avon Theatre. Rekaman di YouTube mengenai dia sedang menyanyi di satu acara pencari bakat pada tahun yang sama akhirnya melontarkan dia ke puncak ketenaran.

Ketika orang yang belakangan jadi manajernya Scooter Braun menemukan klip itu, Justin menandatangani kesepakatan rekaman --peristiwa yang mengubah hidupnya.

"Ia anak paling berbakat yang pernah aku temukan!" kata Scooter Braun.

Justin Bieber Akan Kunjungi Playboy Mansion

Justin Bieber sudah mulai nakal rupanya. Pasalnya, sang idola remaja berencana mengajak ayahnya untuk berkunjung ke Playboy Mansion dan bertemu dengan gadis-gadis Playboy yang biasa disebut dengan Playboy Bunny.

Rencana ini muncul setelah Hugh Hefner, sang bos Playboy, datang ke acara peluncuran film Bieber yang berjudul NEVER SAY NEVER bersama tunangannya, Crystal Harris. Ketika Bieber bertemu dengan keduanya, sang idola remaja pun bertanya apakah dia bisa berkunjung dan bertemu dengan gadis-gadis Playboy.

Hefner sendiri sudah menyatakan bahwa dirinya akan sangat senang kalau bisa menjadi tuan rumah untuk Bieber dan ayahnya yang akan berkunjung ke Playboy Mansion. "Hari ini kami dapat berita bahwa Justin dan ayahnya ingin berkunjung ke Mansion," ujar Hefner kepada Piers Morgan dari CNN.

Dan sepertinya Bieber akan mendapat sambutan meriah dari para gadis Playboy, seperti yang diungkapkan Crystal Harris, tunangan Hefner, "Aku ingin bertemu Justin Bieber. Aku juga terkena Bieber Fever (Demam Bieber). Kami semua sebenarnya, semua gadis Playboy. Kami semua ingin bertemu dengannya."

Tak Ada Pesta di Ulang Tahun Ke-17 Bieber

Selasa, 1 Maret nanti, Justin Bieber akan merayakan ulang tahunnya yang ke-17. Bieber pun sudah berencana untuk mengisi hari bahagia ini bersama orang yang dicintainya. Selena Gomez?

Ternyata bukan Selena-lah yang diinginkan Bieber untuk hadir ketika dirinya menginjak 17 tahun nanti. Bieber justru ingin kakek dan neneknya ada bersamanya. "Kuharap kakek-neneku akan di sini dan aku bisa menghabiskan waktu bersama mereka," ungkap Bieber.

Selain rencana menghabiskan waktu bersama kakek dan neneknya, Bieber pun menyatakan bahwa dirinya tak ingin ada pesta ulang tahun besar-besaran nantinya. Bieber hanya ingin kue keju yang dibuat spesial oleh neneknya.

"Nenekku bisa membuat kue keju terbaik. Kue keju ceri. Dia membuatkanku kue itu untuk ulang tahunku yang ke-13," aku sang idola remaja.

Setelah ulang tahunnya, Bieber pun tak akan punya banyak waktu untuk menikmati saat santai. Pasalnya, hanya berselang beberapa hari, Bieber akan segera memulai tur dunianya. "Aku hanya punya sekitar 4 hari, jadi aku akan rileks saja, karena aku mulai tur dunia tanggal 4 Maret, jadi aku akan mempersiapkan mental dan rileks," pungkasnya.

Justin Bieber Ditolak Rihanna!

Terbukti sudah kalau Justin Bieber tak bisa memikat wanita di seluruh dunia. Pasalnya, ada satu wanita yang berani menolak sang idola remaja ini mentah-mentah, dan dia adalah Rihanna!

Penolakan yang cukup 'menohok' bagi Bieber ini terjadi dalam pertandingan NBA yang berlangsung Senin (20/2) lalu. Saat itu, Justin duduk di sebelah Rihanna selama pertandingan basket berlangsung.

Keduanya tampak sering bercanda sambil menikmati jalannya pertandingan basket. Bieber, yang sempat meraih predikat MVP dalam pertandingan All-Star, rupanya mengambil kesempatan ini untuk mengajak Rihanna berkencan, yang sayangnya, langsung ditolak.

"Aku mengajaknya pergi (berkencan). Tidak berlangsung lancar, karena aku tak bersamanya. Aku memintanya berkencan denganku dan dia pada dasarnya beralasan, 'Kamu masih terlalu kecil'." ungkap Bieber.

Namun, Bieber bukan bocah yang tak punya pengganti teman kencan setelah ditolak Rihanna. Selena Gomez sering terlihat berjalan bersamanya, bahkan beberapa kali tertangkap kamera sedang bergandengan tangan.

Bieber Berikan Rambutnya ke Ellen DeGeneres

Ketika Justin Bieber potong rambut, sepertinya semua fansnya di seluruh dunia bakal bermimpi bahkan mati-matian mendapatkannya. Namun, para Beliebers inipun harus rela, karena Bieber akhirnya memberikannya pada Ellen DeGeneres!

Sang pembawa acara bincang-bincang TV ini 'beruntung' bisa mendapatkan apa yang diidam-idamkan banyak gadis di seluruh dunia. Pasalnya, pada episode minggu ini, Bieber sendiri memberikan kejutan pada Ellen dengan hadir dan menyerahkan langsung sekotak sisa potongan rambutnya.

Namun, ada syarat-syarat yang harus dilakukan DeGeneres untuk bisa menerima rambut 'ikonik' ini. Ellen harus berjanji untuk tidak menjualnya dengan harga yang tinggi lewat eBay, juga tak boleh menjadikannya sebuah jaket bulu.

Bieber juga berkata pada Ellen bahwa dirinya memang berniat memberikan potongan rambutnya pada Ellen dengan harapan sang host bisa melelangnya untuk kepentingan amal. Salut!

Justin Bieber Reveals Big 17th Birthday Plans: ‘Just Relax’!!

Our own Mary Hart got a taste of Bieber Fever as Justin Bieber took time from his whirlwind schedule to talk about his already-revamped version of ‘Justin Bieber: Never Say Never’ — and what his big plans are for his upcoming 17th birthday!

“I only have, like, four days, so I’m just going to relax, because I start my world tour starting on [March 4] — so just going to mentally prepare and just relax,” says Justin, whose birthday is on March 1. “No birthday bash. … Hopefully my grandparents will be out here and I’ll be able to spend time, a little bit, with them. My grandma makes the best cheesecake — cherry cheesecake. She made that for my 13th birthday.”

‘Justin Bieber: Never Say Never’ opened to more than $30 million at the box office the weekend of February 11, going head-to-head with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston‘s ‘Just Go With It,’ and this weekend Justin plans to deliver even more goodness to the true Beliebers out there: A revamped version of ‘Never Say Never’ in theaters with all-new footage!

“It’s 40 minutes of extra footage, so it’s basically like a new movie,” he says. “It’s real exciting because it shows me and my friends more and it shows a different part of the concert, so it’s going to be great. Hopefully all the fans will go back and watch it.”

Justin also talked to Mary about his headline-making haircut a few days ago. Why did he do it?

“I just wanted to, that’s all, not really a big reason; I just woke up and said, ‘I don’t want this anymore,’ so I just cut it,” he explained. “It’s not really about that. You know, the fans really liked it, but they’ll like me no matter what, because I think it’s about the music. I’m really excited to see what the fans overseas think and take it day by day.”

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith‘s daughter Willow of “Whip My Hair” fame will open for Justin in his upcoming tour, and Justin tells Mary, “I’m excited to see what she brings to the table. We start on March 4, so she’s really excited, and she told me that she can’t wait — and she’s adorable — so I can’t wait.”

With Bieber Fever at a fever pitch, Justin seems to take all this fame in stride, and he credits it to the people around him.

“I have such great people around me, and such good family,” he says. “I just want to be a good role model to people, and to be able to just make good music. … I’m going to make mistakes, but it’s about learning from them and becoming better. … My movie shows that anything is possible and dreams do come true. … Remember to always stay humble and always be gracious and anything can happen.”

Kanye West Schools Justin Bieber In The Studio!!

Kanye West loves Twitter and for fans wanting a glimpse into the daily life of a megastar, this is a good thing. The superstar tweeted a photo earlier tonight of he and teen sensation Justin Bieber working together in a studio.

In RapFix’s ongoing “Made U Look” series, we’re turning our eyes on the curious photo of the stars in nearly identical poses with the Chicago vet supposedly mentoring the youngster on production.

‘Ye titled the Twitpic “My new beat protégé” and the pair appeared hard at work on music. Newly crowned MVP of the 2011 NBA All-Star celebrity game Justin Bieber looked suave in a white jacket slightly unbuttoned and with shades covering his eyes. Kayne, also in a casual way, was decked out in a black button up and sported shades as well.

Bieber and West are both seen tinkering with studio equipment and while the dark photo seemingly taken with a camera phone doesn’t offer a ton of detail, the stern look of concentration on their faces highlight that the artists were definitely crafting some heat rocks.

The pair has already worked together on a previous track, the “Runaway Love (Remix)” featuring Wu-Tang Clan swordsman Raekwon. The unfathomable track was released as a rough demo last August to much fanfare. “Runaway Love (Remix)” resurfaced on the new Justin Bieber EP titledNever Say Never The Remixes. The slightly altered track retains all the vocal performances but the backing beat changes just a bit.

In these new pics from the famous museum, Justin’s proportions are matched and measured in order to create brand-new wax figures that will be unveiled in New York, London and Amsterdam.

Every detail must be perfectly presented, which includes replicating his exact eye color. Justin spent nearly four months working with the master artists at Madam Tussauds to get his figures ready for the big reveal this March. Click through to the gallery to see more shots from his sittings.

Justin Bieber Getting the Wax Treatment!!

Justin Bieber is the latest celebrity to get waxed.

It was announced Tuesday that the teen sensation is set to get not one, not two, but three different wax figures at the famed Madame Tussauds across the world. The wax Biebers will be unveiled in March in the New York, London and Amsterdam locations of the museum.

The Biebs said: “I’m honored to be getting my own wax figures at Madame Tussauds New York, London and Amsterdam. To be immortalized in wax alongside some of my idols- Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyonce and my mentor, Usher- is incredibly exciting and very cool.”

The figures will make their debut in March, after Justin spent nearly four months working with the Madam Tussauds crew to get the wax figures just right.

Promotor: Konser Justin Bieber Tidak Dibatalkan!

Tersiar kabar kalau konser Justin Bieber di Indonesia dibatalkan. Namun dengan tegas pihak promotor membantahnya.

Kabar batalnya konser pelantun 'Baby' itu mulai ramai diperbincangkan di Twitter sejak Kamis (24/2/2011) pagi. Para Beliebers --sebutan untuk fans Justin Bieber-- pun mempertanyakan kepada pihak promotor mengenai isu tersebut.

"Aduhhh..rumor lagi rumor lagi..konser JB tidak dibatalkan!!!" begitu penjelasan promotor Marygops Studios lewat akun Twitter-nya yang di-posting satu jam lalu.

Namun, saat detikhot mencoba mencari informasi lebih lanjut, pihak promotor tidak dapat dihubungi. Dalam situs mereka, Marygops.com juga masih terpampang jadwal konser Justin Bieber di Indonesia.

Rencananya, penyanyi berusia 16 tahun itu akan menggelar konser di Sentul International Convention Center (SICC) pada 23 April 2011. Sebanyak 10 ribu tiket telah dipersiapkan untuk menampung para penggemar Bieber di Indonesia.

Detikhot mencoba melakukan penelusuran jadwal tur Bieber lewat sejumlah situs seperti bieberfever.com, justinbiebermusic.com, myspace.com/justinbieber. Dari situs-situs tersebut terpampang jadwal tur Bieber dari 4 Maret 2011 hingga 10 Mei 2011. Namun, jadwal konser Bieber untuk tanggal 23 April di Indonesia tidak tercantum.

Masih menurut sejumlah situs tersebut, pada 21 April 2011 tertulis jadwal konser Bieber di PWTC/Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Selanjutnya Bieber langsung dijadwalkan menggelar konsernya di Entertainment Center, Brisbane, Australia pada 26 April 2011.

Hingga saat ini, pihak promotor belum membuka penjualan tiket secara online. Mereka baru menjual sebagian tiket secara langsung di EX Plaza, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jakarta Pusat pada 22 Januari lalu.

Harga tiket konser Justin Bieber kelas festival dijual seharga Rp 1 juta. Kelas tribun 1 Rp 750 ribu dan tribun 2 Rp 500 ribu.

Justin Bieber Raih Dua Gelar NME Awards 2011

Justin Bieber telah digelari musisi paling gaya oleh para pembaca dan pengguna NME.COM dalam ajang penghargaan NME Awards 2011.

Justin juga meraih penghargaan Album Terburuk untuk albumnya bertitel My World pada ajang NME Awards 2011, tadi malam, Rabu (23/2).

Justin mengalahkan nominator lainnya Cheryl Cole, Lady Gaga, Kesha dan Liam Gallagher dalam kategori Least Stylist. Demikian seperti yang dikabarkan NME.

Para nominator lainnya yang termasuk dalam kategori Album Terburuk di antaranya Cheryl Cole dalam Messy Little Raindrops, Katy Perry dalam Teenage Dream, Kings Of Leon dalam Come Around Sundown dan My Chemical Romance dalam Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.

Alasan Bieber Merilis Ulang Never Say Never

Justin Bieber merilis ulang film konsernya Never Say Never d iAS dan Kanadausai beberapa minggutayang. Bieber memiliki alasan melakukan itu.

Mengutip femalefirst, Rabu (23/3), Bieber merilis ulang filmnya itu untuk memasukkan 40 menit dari rekaman aksinya, yang tak masuk dalam filmnya sebelumnya.

"Saya menyadari harus memasukan tambahan film selama 40 menit. Ini demi memperkaya orang yang menontonnya dan demi memuaskan penggemar,” kata Chu, sang pembuat film.

Sejauh ini Never Say Never mampu meraup US$48 juta di seluruh dunia. Namun film Bieber tak masuk ke Indonesia, akibat kebijakan baru pajak film impor. Ketidaksepakatan antara produsen film impor di Indonesia dengan pajak baru tersebut, membuat film Hollywood tak tayang lagi di Indonesia.

Bieber Mendominasi Billboard Chart

Album-album Justin Bieber pekan ini masuk daftar album terlaris di tangga Billboard. Justin melalui album Never Say Never: the Remixes (Island), soundtrack dari konser film 3-D terbaru miliknya berada di peringkat pertama dengan pejualan 161 ribu kopi.

Tiga album terdahulunya juga nangkring dalam daftar Top 40. My World 2.0 berada di peringkat 8, My Worlds Acoustic di peringkat 18, dan mini album debutannya My World berada di peringkat 31. Billboard, sebagaimana diberitakan Washington Post, menyebut Bieber sebagai artis pertama yang terus merangsekkan album-albumnya sejak penampilan Garth Brooks pada tahun 1993.

Album band alt-folk asal Britania Mumford & Sons dan peraih lima penghargaan Grammy, Lady Antebellum, juga mengalami pergerakan  menggembirakan. Sigh No More (Glassnote) milik Mumford&Sons bertahan di peringkat kedua pekan ini. Pekan sebelumnya album ini melonjak dari peringkat 11 setelah penjualannya mencapai 133 ribu keping atau meningkat 169 persen dari pekan sebelumnya.

Album Lady Antebellum “Need You Now” (Capitol Nashville) berada di peringkat 4, dengan penjualan 85 ribu kopi, dengan peningkatan 205 persen pada pekan ini.

Pada kategori penjualan melalui pengunduhan, Lady Gaga dan Cee Lo Green berada di puncak. Born This Way milik Gaga, yang ditampilkan saat penganugerahan Grammy, terjual 509 ribu kopi selama sepekan terakhir. Total penjualan di Amerika Serikat selama sepuluh hari mencapai 957 ribu kopi. Cee Lo melalui “ **** You” melonjak 178 persen menjadi 412 ribu kopi.

Justin Bieber Minat ke Playboy Mansion

Justin Bieber diam-diam menaruh minat dengan kerajaan Playboy. Penyanyi remaja itu sangat ingin bertandang ke Playboy Mansion milik Hugh Hefner.

Justin ingin diundang ke Playboy Mansion oleh Hugh Hefner. Penembang Baby itu ingin berkunjung bersama ayahnya, Jeremy Bieber. Hal itu diketahui dari Twitter Piers Morgan, sebagaimana dilansir The Sun, Kamis (24/2/2011).

"Breaking news: @ hughhefner mengungkapkan bahwa Justin Bieber telah bertanya kepadanya, apakah Justin diperkenankan datang ke Playboy Mansion dengan ayahnya," tulis Piers.

Sementara itu, belum diketahui bagaimana tanggapan Justin tentang kabar tersebut.

Kemarin, penyanyi 16 tahun itu baru saja membuat kehebohan dengan memangkas rambutnya. Sisa potongan rambut akan didonasikan kepada beberapa organisasi non-profit untuk acara peduli binatang. Selama ini, penyanyi asal Kanada itu memang dikenal sebagai pecinta hewan.

Bieber dan D&G saling suka !

Domenico Dolce dan Stefano Gabbana, yang terkenal dengan rumah fashion Dolce & Gabbana (D&G), mengaku gembira karena mendapat kesempatan mendandani penyanyi ternama Justin Bieber. Mereka juga mengaku amat menggemari lagu-lagu Bieber. Bieber pun sangat menyukai produk-produk fashion mereka.

Duo perancang fashion legendaris itu mengatakan, mereka merupakan penggemar berat vokalis berusia 16 tahun itu dan amat senang karena ia memilih untuk mengenakan mantel, dasi kupu-kupu, kemeja, dan celana panjang jeans berlabel D&G untuk penampilan pada pemutaran perdana film pertamanya, Never Say Never 3D, di O2, London, Rabu (16/2/2011) minggu lalu.

Gabbana kepada vogue.com mengatakan, "Justin merupakan lambang dari generasi baru pemusik. "Kami kagum akan kemampuannya berkomunikasi melalui musiknya dengan para penontonnya yang sangat beragam, dari remaja hingga dewasa," lanjutnya.

Dolce menambahkan, "Kami betul-betul menyukai musik Justin. Kami mendengarkan album terakhirnya selama persiapan peragaan fashion kami dan, dalam waktu senggang kami, albumnya masuk daftar musik favorit yang kami dengarkan! Ia milik generasi baru, ia peduli akan fashion. Kami sangat senang mendandaninya dan kami amat mengaguminya."

Tampaknya Bieber juga merupakan penggemar berat D&G. Sebelum ini ia sudah mengenakan busana dari label tersebut di Golden Globe Awards 2011, Grammy Awards 2011, pemutaran perdana film Never Say Never (2011) di Los Angeles, dan BRIT Awards 2011.

Dolce dan Gabbana baru-baru ini merancang kostum untuk tur mutakhir vokalis Kylie Minogue, Aphrodite: Les Folies Tour.
