Remember when President Barack Obama visited Ground Zero and told the teenage daughter of a Sept. 11 victim that he knew Justin Bieber and could possibly set up a meeting?
Game on, says Bieber.
The teen heartthrob took to Twitter and said that he’s “pretty sure President @BarackObama will keep this promise.” (Bieber linked to an article about the president’s recent remarks.)
The girl, Payton Wall, is fourteen and lost her father in the attack on the World Trade Center. When she sent the president a letter, he asked to meet her during his visit to New York City. The New York Post wrote at the time: “Payton spent days practicing a strong handshake, but in the end Obama gave her a presidential bear hug. She said he also told her that he ‘knows Justin’ and that he would help arrange a meeting between the two.”
