Make A Wish girl from Hawke’s Bay meets Justin Bieber!!

BONKERS FOR BIEBER: Napier girl Meg Higgs, 8, went to see Justin Bieber live in Sydney when her wish was granted by Make-A-Wish NZ.
Being on first name basis with Justin Bieber is but a dream for the average tween but for Napier girl Meg Higgs it is a reality.
Eight-year-old Meg had her wish granted by Make-a-Wish New Zealand, when the aspiring rock star travelled to Sydney to see – and meet – pop sensation Justin Bieber.
The Port Ahuriri School Year 4 student said meeting Justin was a dream come true. “He’s just really nice, cute and awesome,” she said. “He said ‘hi, how are you?’ and I said ‘good’ and then he gave me some stuff.”
The Canadian superstar also impressed Meg’s siblings, giving birthday wishes to younger sister Finty, 3, and shaking hands with brother Charlie, 6.
Mum, Arlene Perry, gave her approval too: “He was a very polite and handsome young man,” she said.
Ms Perry said the trip really was one of a lifetime, as the whole family spent six nights in the Australian city as part of Meg’s wish, scoring seats eight rows from the front at the sold-out show.
“It was really cool,” Meg said. “I liked it when he sang Baby because all this ribbony stuff came down from the ceiling and went all over us.”
The family visited Luna Park, Taronga Zoo, the Sydney Aquarium and the revolving restaurant at Centre Point Tower.
The family is also celebrating the fact that Meg recently went into remission after being diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma in 2009.
The lively 8-year-old has undergone chemotherapy and surgery since the diagnosis, and Ms Perry said the family was revelling in the good news.
Since her return from Sydney, Meg has not only started piano and singing lessons so she too can be a pop sensation, but was now the envy of her friends at school.
“My best-friend thinks if she touches me she’s touching Justin ‘cos he touched me,” she said.
